Recently my truck has been idling really high, don't have a tach but I would guess around 2k RPM. When I'm stopped if I blip the throttle real quick it will return to normal idle, but if I gently touch the throttle it will return to the same high idle. Any ideas what is going on?

Choke linkage sticking?

 

I guess it sort of seems like something sticking, I'll check it out and oil all the linkage see what happens

 

You choke might need a minor adjustment or your heat tube is broke off to the choke if you have that type.

 

I would avoid oil as it tends to attract grit and bind things up worse over time.
Flush it out w/ carb cleaner while working the choke by hand.
Use a dry film lube like graphite or TDL from PB Blaster.
