Coolant ?
Hey guys, I have a 2006 f150 lariat 5.4 triton I just purchased a few months back with 80,000 miles on it.
I recently have been hearing a gurgling or even a water sound from under my dash board on cold mornings. Note I don't even use my heat or air conditioner and I drive about two miles to work, park my car and turn it off and for a minute or so I hear gurgling or a slushing noise. Note some days I don't hear it when it's 60 degrees outa X warm for the day.
Now a week ago I took it to the dealer and they said yes your heater plugs were clogged, they fixed that and I can now still hear the noise....
So I have been searching around and allot of website have been saying that it's my coolant level. Now I just drove to work and here is a pic of my coolant level. I'm just new to all of this guys and if you cold give me some advise please do so, thank you
(Also what kind of coolant should I buy?)
(I live near a Walmart, Napa, autozone and advanced auto parts)

It was the easiest option for me, as I was not in any big rush (just wanted to flush and re-fill). Also, sorry I completely neglected to comment on your other question! I'm not sure what to tell you about the noise you are hearing in your dash, possibly something related to your heater core? Also, your level does not look crazy low to me. But topping it off wont hurt anything, and if it fixes your problem even better! Please update this thread once you know how it's going to play out. Good luck!

Just to keep anyone up to date who is taking a look at this thread I just drove to work which is a 3 miles drive and halfway there I turned on my heat and it was pretty high, I got to work parked my truck and in idle It was making the gargle noise louder and faster, so after saying a few choice words I turned off my truck and then it got silent and just made the regular noise like I stated yesterday.
God someone help me lol

Zerex G05 coolant is the same as the Motorcraft Gold and is correct for your engine. Most auto supply stores have it --especially NAPA. The old style green stuff will do evil things to your cooling system. A 50% - 50% mixture of G05 and water is best unless you live where the temps get much below -10 F.

From your picture and the noises it sounds like the heater core has air in it, low coolant. You mentioned burping, to do that you need to fill it to the max level mark and run vehicle, (with caps on) to running temp until thermostat opens. Let coolant fill passages in engine and in core. After that check your levels and top off as needed. Check fluid level after engine cools, top off if needed.
