Interesting article on synthetic oil

Take it for what it's worth. I am not stumping for any brand or type. I just thought it was good food for thought.

I used to run Amsoil in my old 7.3 and after 100k, my iron level went nuts. Come to find out, that's not an unusual thing for synthetics to crash an engine after 100k. The only advantage in running synthetics is if you are going over or way over the recommended change rate, say 7500 miles. If you change oil at 3,000 to 7500 miles, then it doesn't pay to run synthetics, go dino. I am running mostly Chevron dino oil and change every 3-4,000 miles. If you are REALLY interested in learning a lot about oils, go to bobistheoilguy.com and you will get dizzy with facts.

Oh boy, here comes another oil thread.. And what would be an oil thread without including Am-soil somewhere in the topic?
