Budget build injectors? Please read thread

Hey guys here's another question for you. My injectors (stock) are starting to crap out. My truck runs a little rough idling at startup until the engine warms up. I took it to a local shop and they kept it overnight. When they started it in the morning they ran some tests and found out the injectors are not flowing properly. Would bad injectors cause the truck to run a little rough until it warms up? Anyhow, they said they could either rebuild them, or install new ones at 300.00 a pop (level 1). I am stuck because I don't particularly want to spend the money (though I might) on new injectors and then have to get a better hoop. I'm just trying to get some feedback from you guys. What would you do? Budget rebuild? Or new?

Injectors are expensive! I've had new ones installed, it hurt. My advice is stick with stock, unless your racing. They put big injectors in mine, runs like a bat out of hell, but smokes like a chimney. I don't really care for the smoke.

I sent my injectors to Rosewood Diesel. They inspected, tested them and talked to me on the phone about my options. I chose the budget build and upgrade to stage 1s. This was 3 - 4 years ago. I have been very happy with the performance and cant beat the price!

New injectors will definitely make it run much better if that, is in fact, the issue. Mine ran the same way until I put new premiums Stage 1s in from Rosewood. Don't go cheap on these. I have read countless threads of regret doing this.

$300 a piece is way over priced. Where do you live? I'll do it cheaper, lol.

Northern CA haha. That was their price on brand new injectors. Still seems a bit steep but now I'm thinking rosewood indeed.

When you had your injectors replaced, did you upgrade your hpop?

I was just looking over their website. Pricing actually seems more along what I can afford!

Agreed. Jim is a straight up guy

Did they remove the injectors to do the flow test? I would like to know how they determined the flow rate if they did not. 92,000 miles seems soon to have injector issues. I would make sure it was your issue before spending the coin

They pulled 2 injectors, #4&#8. They were hitting faint on buzz test. I told them to check uvch connectors too, but those were fine. I know it's a low mileage truck but this is the next best thing. I've been trying to figure out why I've been having rough idle at startup. Never throws any codes, changed my cps and icp still no change. Nss is fine. I just can't figure it out so I figured maybe something to do with my injectors.

Spill spouts can be an indication of the condition of the poppets . In this case I am suspicious based on miles . I would lean more to a loose solenoid or 2

Solenoid on injector? Or some other solenoid? I've taken it to 7 different shops and no-one has been able to put their finger on it.
