My Accord and Tacoma were that way and so was my F150. All of those situations were with the trial subscription. I was offered 5 months for $20 so I thought why not. It doesn't cut out at all now. If that isn't the most backwards way to sell a product I don't know what is.

Funny, I put my 1st Sirius receiver in my 2001 F150 and loved it. I won't consider a new vehicle unless it has Sirius in it. I have had very few signal problems. The ones I did have were mostly in tunnels and parking garages. Never had a weather related signal loss.

Sirius has been pretty good to me, but there are some areas where it doesn't work well. Need line-of-sight to the satellite for it to function, and that can vary depending on location. It's possible the satellites are orbiting in a position to put that low on the horizon in some places.

Then it would be essentially useless where I live. It's always cloudy here...

I believe he was exaggerating, it's always worked fine under clouds for me. I haven't had problems with it in major storms either, seems impervious to weather.

I have traveled thru Pittsburg with Sirus and can get coverage.

It is mostly structures that will bother mine.

Under bridges during slow speeds or downtown tall buildings.

Clouds/rain are not the issue. Bridges tunnels trees are the issue. It's out from our driveway to the main road, then out about 50% of the way to the next intersection (about 10 miles). If it was only out 10% of the time it would be too much. I can listen to FM radio 100% of the time.

Now, the XL looks too "commercial" like and while I like a fairly stripped truck, I don't really want it to look like a stripped truck. So, I have an entry level XLT to satisfy my whim.
If i was to do it i'd get the sport package on the XL, just enough tech and looks like the older STX.

All of the XLs around here have the sport package. That is the way I would want it.

That is what I got, 2015 XL 4x4 with the Sport package. I will not get carpet in a truck and I added OEM back up cam for $578 other then that it had everything I wanted. It does not have Sirius but to be completely honest I have never understood why anyone subscribes to it, it plays the same crappy music that you get free.
