Tire/wheel confusion

The overall tire diameter of the new size you are looking at is only 1/2" taller than the original size, so given proper backspacing on the new wheels I would think you would be ok. But, I'm sure someone with more first hand knowledge on these trucks specifically will chime in soon.
Correction - the 275/70R18 has a diameter of 33.2" and a width of 10.83"
and - the 285/70R17 has a diameter of 32.7" and a width of 11.22"
So, the new size is actually shorter and wider.
I still believe you'd be ok, but I'd wait for someone that has put that size on one of these trucks.
