Being a 6 wheeler driver you should be used to having them training wheels on, thats why your truck is so good for farm or construction work, it will pull anything through the muck. Post a pic of the truck so that we can get opinionated about it Lol.

There is a frame rated at 8700 gvw but I think it's either a camper or trailer special. just because someone puts a dually axle under a truck doesn't make it a 1 ton, common mistake.
My 76 is a SCS.....srw and rated for 10,000 GVW.

You mentioned that the cab is not the same that came on that frame (rhyme time, haha). The title always goes with the cab. So the cab came from a '77 3/4 ton 4x4. You need to look on the passenger frame rail, just next to the engine mount. The frame could be from a '79 F350, Who knows? Get the frame VI# and we can tell you what you really have. And we would all like to see pics of this $500 truck. Imo, a 4x4 daully is worth a lot more that that, no matter the condition.

Start asking $1500 for it and if you have to, put a front bumper on it. I've seen a lot worse selling for $18- $3500. Other drivers are scared of your truck and as a result you have a safe truck to drive.

This is a hideous truck, that bent rear bumper put $1500 in my pocket and the truck is now a trailer and a bunch of parts that I still have. Notice the spare front clip in front of house
Don't sell your truck short

That thing is awesome! I really like the headlights lol

I do have the bumper for my truck. It has a winch on it that's more efficient sitting in my garage.

This is what it looks like now

The front end on the black n white truck is the clip that was in front of the house which was the original clip on the green truck, I like the 78/9 front with round headlights. This ugly green truck just keeps paying and paying, it's like a royalty check that shows up out of nowhere and happens more than once. LOL The trans, motor, front suspension and rad are under the cab in the top 2 pics. The cab is full of fenders, liners, and inners now plus misc parts.

if that dually runs it is a $2500 to $4000 truck here in New Joisey.
i could slap a plow on the front for 3 or 4 hundred bucks, and make 10 grand with it in one plow season.

So far nobody has mentioned the lack of rust, we're used to half eaten fender lips, doors, cab corners and b pillars, plus the glass doesn't have beauty lines.

That's not true, on these trucks the title goes with the frame. There is no vin stamped on the cabs, thus the reason they can get swapped so easily.

Still, you can't id the truck off of the cab or title and be 100% sure without making sure the title matches the frame.
