4.6 marauder transplant

Hello to all here in ford country. I have recently acquired a '03 mercury marauder. The car has been sitting for awhile since it wasn't road worthy but it is driveable enough to smoke the tires while loading and unloading off the trailer. I have noticed that after it sits for a few days that it rolls the blue smoke out the exhaust for a minute or two. I realize that the valve seals are probably shot so I'm thinking about maybe changing those out before I put it in a '69 f100. I read where people have done that with the heads on the car. The car had 111,000 miles on the odometer. I would appreciate your comments on whether I should move forward and change those out or just abandon the motor all together. If you have done this yourself please let me know your thoughts. It's a lot of work to do this transplant.
Thanks to all.
