Leaf spring rub with original size tires 2000 f250 4x4
Wonder if any of you experienced tire rub on your 4x4 with 265/75r16 tires. Searched the net and couldn't find any one having this problem with original size tires.
My problem is that when I turn left, back of my left tire (all terrain) rubbing leaf spring, when I turn right, there is about 4" +/- between right tire and leaf spring. I measured distance between tire and frame on both sides and there is only about 0.5" difference, which I blame on front end suggin. Truck is all original as far as I can tell and wheels are original aluminum with bullets holes. Any suggestions? I assume I can buy new wheels with different back spacing, but I am pretty sure ford didn't make those trucks that way.

You have something wrong with your suspension. I just measured my truck and have nearly 6" of clearance between the tire and leaf spring.
Have you lifted your truck?
My truck is stock, as far as I can tell (center of fender to ground about 38.5" front and 41" rear).
Did you measure left front tire while turned all the way to the left or straight?
Has any work been done to the steering box. It may not have been timed right and is going to far to the left. Might need to drop the pitman arm and check.

I do not know anything about the truck as I just bought it at the auction.

I think you are right, just had my wife pulling steering wheel one way and the other and i do have little gap on the left side wheel stopper wIle turned all the way right. Will work on it this weekend and update. The funny thing is that wheel stopper on the right side is there to prevent this very thing, and it didnt.

I have 35 x 12.50 and have not hit the leaf spring. If you do take the pitman arm off the pullers at the parts houses are to small so you may need to find a jaw puller of some type. It will take a little force to get it off. Others hopefully will chime in as 40 or so just changed their gearboxes and may have a step by step guide to help with getting it off.
Because it was bent, it was shorter (out of adjustment ) and that's why my left tire rubbed while turning left and my right turns were like driving a big rig.
Adjusted it as good as I could (almost perfect) and ordered new part online.

I wish I could tell you that I was rock climbing or doing something crazy exciting, lol, but not. I bought the truck that way, from the auction, so no idea what happened.
What I can tell you that dealer wanted over $200 for it and he didn't have it in stock, but I ordered one from LMC Truck (recommended by my neighbor)and adjusting sleave for $81 including shipping.

My first time ordering from them, but their prices seemed to be better then any other online place I looked at. Also, you can get FREE truck specific catalog, and their website seemed to be friendly enough for me to figure out what I needed.
Where do you guys like to shop outside of a dealer and local parts stores?
LMC will bury you with catalogs. Which is either good or bad, I suppose.
Mostly I turn to Riff Raff Diesel (good prices on best quality, get the important stuff here) or Rock Auto or Amazon when I'm engaged in stalking parts prey for sport. My wife calls it "just shopping" but she doesn't get it.
