Started smelling exhaust in the cab while idling, and at startup. After further investigating found out the EGR inlet tube is leaking at the flex joint. So my question is , is there anything that will jump at me while I'm doing this tube replacement. The price is about $80 for the tube and $20 for the gaskets.

Part of the motor, should be covered by warranty.


Are you out of the warranty? If not then you can have the service advisor look the part up and verify its warranty status.

 

Yes, warranty done in May. Was thinking about the Extended Plan for Ford. But this is my first issue since I got the truck.

 

There have been issues with getting those bolts out. Proceed carefully.
