Did these come painted white or chrome on a custom cab 1956??

The chrome grille would have the chrome PL doors.

I think the DC pictures are just examples. The '55 and the '56 had unique, one year only parking lights.

There was a thread on this a few weeks ago. Others were not pleased with the way the repopped fit.

From what I've experienced the re-pops did not fit the 56 grille and when inquired about it I was told the supplier wouldn't make the changes for them to fit the 56 and you needed to modify the ones that fit the 55 The original ones I had appeared to be chromed as they were peeling in spots and they came from a truck with a chrome grille. Ones I have from a painted grille were also painted.

We had a guy up here the town made move, it was an old service station and he had been dumping waste oil for years and the soil was really contaminated, the guy was a hoarder and he had piles of NOS parts for all makes of cars and trucks in the 40-50's ,There was a car club that came up and bought just about everything he had but I have no idea of what kind of prices they paid but they hauled away a ton of stuff.

I know first hand the re-pops don't fit ,gerrymoe helped me out with a new pair of covers that fit, I'll use these old chrome ones I have on the project I'm doing now, may re-chrome them with Dupla-Color paint...lol
