6.4 Oil cooler replacement

Does anyone have any information on replacing the oil cooler? I have searched around and can't seem to find anything other than cab off replacements, or just general failing cooler questions.
I believe I have narrowed my problem down to the oil cooler, but I can't swing the money Ford wants to have it replaced at my local dealer. I have a 2008 F350, almost 104k, had it since 85k. Deltas were within 5* until I did a restore and restore plus flush three weeks ago, and since have gone up to 10+.
Running 70-75 on the highway, unloaded, ECT will be around 196-200, EOT 10*+ until I slow it down.
I flushed the system again this weekend with restore with no improvements, so now I am looking at replacing the oil cooler.
Is there anything else I should look at? While replacing the cooler, with the cab still on, is there anything else I should repair/replace? I know studs are advised when the cab is off, but any advice?
Thanks

I've read where a few guys have added a supplemental cooler suck as the bulletproof oil cooler to keep the EOT lower when the oil cooler isn't cooling as well.

I am familiar with Bulletproof's product, also IPR has an external oil cooler system that looks to be superior to other air cooled designs. I have read some bad things about their kits on other forums though.
Either way, bulletproof and IPR both do not recommend using their products as a long term fix to a failing oil cooler. So I will still need to replace it..
Anyone have any experience from a situation like this?

David, what are your normal temps? I guess it just has me concerned since they have increased 100% over what they were a few weeks ago. I drove 500 miles down to Florida when my minimax hit my defuel level, and I've been nervous ever since. Even pulling a 14k trailer through the mountains up in Kentucky I had never hit that before.
I've put so much money into this thing recently deleting and everything else, now I'm terrified that something might go wrong.

Well the defuel on the MM means little. It's set low factory. Ford says a 30 degree split is in range on the 6.4. I've always run a 6-8 degree split running 70 on the highway. 10-15 towing the camper.

I really wouldn't worry now. If the splits start sitting around 15-20 empty you might want to consider it. FWIW, I wouldn't flush with restore unless planning on replacing the cooler though, as it does release gunk into the system.

I didn't have a single spec of solids in my system when I flushed it. I have a coolant filter and used two during the flush as well as cut open and examined the filters afterwards. They have really helped keep my system clean.

I had no gunk either, and have had a coolant filter on my truck since 4,xxx miles. I flushed with about 7/8 of a gallon of restore and distilled. I haven't checked my temps since I did the flush, i will this weekend and report back but I never had an issue with my temps prior.

Filter helps a ton, but that doesn't mean the cooler hasn't caught it first. I'm not saying don't flush with it, but I only do it prior to cooler replacement. But I have to warranty stuff when I do it.

So does anyone have any information for actually replacing the engine oil cooler? Watched that guys video on removing the cab, that is not bad at all. Just concerned about the important specifics on changing the cooler that might not be so obvious. Cannot find much about it.

I would buy some restore products and spend a weekend flushing the cooling system really well to see if you can clean out your oil cooler.

There is a video of a guy that is replacing an oil cooler with cab on. Pulled turbo, turbo pedestal and everything in front .. radiator, intercooler, etc. Poke and you can find it.
