Definitely beats pitching a tent. You can also add some tarp hooks on top to make it quick and easy to make a porch/sitting area behind it when you camp. Always nice to have a dry place to step out into if it rains.

You plan to paint the top to match truck?
I intend on painting it two tone, silver and greenish to match the truck as close as possible. The hardware store in town has a pretty extensive selection of spray paint.
If top needs any leaks sealed go to local RV shop and grab some Dicor. Its a self leveling caulk sealant.
Thanks for the tip. The top appears to be pretty solid, however I have some holes to deal with from removing the 80lbs of steel that made up the rack, fabricated by the original owner to carry a boat I believe.
