Awesome project. Can't wait to see the outcome.
I bought old Century brand fiberglass top. Dad gave me a campertop tent extension but havent even opened it.
Great ideas given. Good Luck

Cool idea. You're going to have a bed across the wheel wells with storage underneath?

Maybe Calif. is different, but this southerner would make provisions for a loaded beer cooler and (Archie Bunker slang) a turlet.

I actually found a cool idea for a retractable bunk, on pintrest of all places, I'm toying with the notion of incorporating it into this micro camper.
I have a cot, but I may build one permanent bunk utilize the cot when the wife comes along.

Yes, California is different, very different.
There's plenty of room for mutiply coolers and other gear.

Basically, what you see in that picture is the slide in part, the part that fits the inside of the bed. I'll need to disassemble the Vintage Shell a bit and build a few pieces that will join the 2 togeother. Then add couple gussets to reinforce the entire super structure.

I won't be able to keep it in year round, I use the truck as a truck to much for that.
I'm working on a design for a stand that will allow me to load it by myself.

Mount a few skateboards upside down on that picnic table. That should do it. LOL
