DJM Leaf shackle question, Sorry if it's been covered

I bought a complete DJM setup off Craiglist this week that came off a '67 bump. I have a '70 bump and my leaf spring setup is different in the rear.
The '67 has a single mount point in front and rear and mine has a dual pivot setup in the rear. Should I just use his springs (if they fit my truck) and be done with it? Both our trucks are F100 shortbeds. Or does DJM have a different hangar for my truck? I checked their website and couldn't find any info. I'm guessing his springs are shorter which would put his hangars in a different place on the frame than mine.
Thanks for the help.

DJM'S shackles are incompatible with your Flexomatic system. Gonna have to swap to a standard leaf pack. The spring hanger on the FOM can be use but your have to deal with the resulting pinion angle.

I got the springs from the '67 with the rest of the stuff I bought. A long set and an additional short set that I won't be using. Can't imagine loading that much in a short bed!
If I use those springs with my hangars you're saying that my pinion angle will need tweeking? Does FOM refer to the Flexomatic system?
Strange that DJM wouldn't offer the proper hangars for the later trucks.
Thanks for the info.

Aha! Then use the 67 leaf springs with the DJM shackles and spring hangers.

Yes, FOM is shorthand for "Flex-O-Matic".

What I meant was if only the DJM hangers were used with your FOM springs, then the pinion angle will point up and need to be corrected. But if using the 67 leafs, then both ends of the leaf springs will be raised and thus lower the rear end evenly.

The FOM was an option... Some Bumps have it, some don't.

Cool, thanks.
I saw somewhere in the forum once that there were different spring lengths available and can't remember the details.
So I was concerned the FOM setup would have had the hangars in a different spot on the frame preventing me from using the '67 springs.
I always find a way to make the easy jobs harder somehow.

Hanger locations are the same... leaf pack length and shackles are different btwn standard and FOM.

And there you go... get to wrenching! Post some pics for future FTE'ers who will undoubtedly run into the same situation with lowering standard vs FOM setups. Do a good job documenting it and I'll include your thread in the Tech Info Compilation.

Good Idea. It would be nice to contribute to a site that has offered great info.
The hardest part is getting work space in the driveway.
That mostly happens when the wife is out of town
Of course I always have a way of bringing home something else while she's away

Yeah, pay it forward... share your experience for "the next guy".

In terms of wrench-time, treat her to a three-day weekend with her BFF or family!

Regarding Hio's comment on pinion angle, see the current thread "loose pinion" to see what damage you can cause by ignoring the issue.
