Good afternoon, everyone.
Thank you for the prayers. Mom appreciates them.
Mom's port is now implanted in her upper-chest. She will receive the Keytruda (Key-true-dah) treatments through this port once every three weeks.
No updates on the Mother-in-Law situation in Germany, nor from my Dad's situation in Northern California.
On the plus side, I completed my Health Information Management Exam 2 today, so I'm only behind on two assignments, with 13 assignments due by the end of the week. I am so ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving break.
Edit:
Since I just spent 1.5 hours taking that exam, I'm going to take a break and play with my dog, "Bear" for a while.
I enjoy Pendleton and Evan Williams, but have recently found favor with that Canadian Whisky, (Forty Creek Premium Barrel Select), I mentioned earlier.
Micah, since you're studying, give me a call when you're ready for a study break. We can discuss hunting dates that do not interfere with your family plans. If we need to wait until next year, that is okay, too. Give me a call when you have some time to talk.

Morning all. Sorry it's been a while. That storm on Tuesday really took a toll on our area. Over 250,000 households and businesses lost power, us included. Many still don't have power. We lost several trees on our property. If one had fallen the other direction it would have smashed my truck.

Glad you're doing okay, Micah.
Pat, . I'll get back to studying "soon" I promise.
Well, on with the family updates:
Mom-in-law is back home. Not sure we like that situation. She's on her own in the apartment and has trouble going up/down steps. Luckily, she is on the first floor, but is not able to access anything in the storage area below the building. She has family nearby, but not available 24/7, so we're trying to coordinate things on that front.
Mom hasn't called me back. I left a message yesterday. I'll be calling on Thanksgiving anyway. Mom had a visit from her sister, so it is very possible that my Mom did not charge up her phone. Wouldn't be the first time she forgot to do that, and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last.
Dad had a "dry-run" to see how he would tolerate the CT scanner. He doesn't like enclosed spaces. Luckily, the CT scanners of today are much more "open" than they used to be and all went well. His treatments begin the week after Thanksgiving.
I need to get caught up on some end-of-semester projects or have another chat with my professors. They have been very understanding and accommodating during this time. My current grades are high enough that if they slip a full grade level, I'll still be okay. I need to find out how much leeway I have according to the instructor's official grade book. My instructors are using the Thanksgiving break to catch up on their grade books, so I won't know how I'm doing until classes resume next Monday.
I think I'm going to take a break, grab a snack, and watch a movie, instead of working on trying to catch up on my class assignments. I'll still be behind schedule tomorrow, but I think today is going to be a "relax and de-stress" day.
