2013 vs. 2015 F150 Compare
Hey Fellas,
I currently own a 2013 Ford F150 4x4 Super crew 3.5 Ecoboost with 3.31 gears, which I bought new. I like the truck. I get about 21ish MPG highway. The air conditioner is really weak! I used a meat thermometer to measure the vent temperature, which is about 50 degrees. My Wife's 2012 Chevy Equinox's vent temp is 39 degrees. Big difference when it's 95 degrees outside. The dealer drained and refilled the A/C system three times. Not much difference.
My question is for the 2015 Ford F150 3.5 Ecoboost owners. What kind of 'real world' MPG are you getting on the highway. Also, how is the air conditioner? Vent temp?
What kind of highway MPG are the 2.7 Ecoboost owners getting on the highway?
Thank you.

We've only got about 3600 miles on our '15 crew cab, long box, 4x4, 3.31, and 3.5L EB. We've been getting between 18 and 26 MPG, but that's "indicated" on the Lie-o-Meter (LoM), which is about 5% high by my hand calculated measure. Is yours measured or the LoM?
Can't say about the A/C, but ours is cold enough by North California standards.

I hand calculated it when it was new. The LoM is about 5% higher.

I track mine with a cell phone app. Not sure how accurate it is compared to say, hand calculations. I haven't paid much attention to the LoM. in 2447 miles, I've averaged 17.48. I have a CC SB 4x4 3.5 eb, not sure of the rear end gears off the top of my head. I've also done some towing, and used 4wd across the outer banks, here in NC with some pretty strong wind and rain, where you almost couldn't see the road through all the sand. I'd say the AC worked fine, though I haven't stuck a thermometer in it. It's only around 60 here I beleive, so I'd suspect it would be down somewhere in the 30's if I measured it at the vent. If I get chance to do that I will this afternoon, especially if the sun comes out.
