93 bronco - d44 front axle install

Have my 2.5 inch rough country lift kit installed. Putting in my new to me axle. The drivers side is in. Don't I need to line of the passengers side in a certain way so that the splines are in line? Or can I just connect the axle sides without concern as long as its in the spline joint? Spline joint might not be the proper term but where you slide the splined side of the passengers side into the drivers side axle that goes into the diff.

Old axle is shot. 1 radius arm, all ball joints, diff, auto hubs its all broke. Going to pull apart and pull the brake hubs since they have meat left. Is it worth saving the actual axles? - how hard to pull them?

Thank you in advance!

Passenger side (stub shaft) axle that goes into the diff is retained by a c clip unlike the driver's side that just slips in.

you can eliminate that C clip by tossing a spring inside the stub shaft. I also recall the ujoints need to be in phase otherwise you will get binding while in 4wd. now is a great time to install new axle pivot bushings.
