I love the internet. Guy has concerns doing bearings. Bunch of people immediately call him an idiot and say he shouldn't be working on his stuff. Vs Trying to actually understand the issue and possibly help him.

Some people are A-holes. We've all done our fist bearing job at some time and probably had questions.

OP Glad you got it figured out and that a couple guys actually tried to be helpful.

No offense intended to the OP but this is in his thread: there was no question asked concerning what tapered wheel bearings should look like when removed from the hub. He said there was no outer race and asked if it would be ok to drive like that until his parts came in. The responses by some might have been a little harsh but would you tell someone that it would be alright to continue to drive their truck with leaking brake lines?

OP: I'm glad you got your truck fixed and learned something from your neighbor in the process.

I just finished rebuilding my first axle, carrier to hubs. Honestly, 78 PEBs post is understandable, there is no way it could work without the races in the hub. As a young pup I get it, sometimes we jump the gun on questions before really think about it, or investigate. OP if you had said hey this is my first time working on this truck/style of hub, where are the bearing races? The response(s) would have been different.

Sorry for the late reply guys. Work has been crazy. Anyways....78 apology accepted. And thank you to everyone else as well for the concern and the advise. It never crossed my mind to check the hub itself until the old man showed me. Which is funny because i looked at it but didnt see it seeing as how i was lookin for somethin different. The mind plays tricks like crazy
