Constant Regen
2010 F250 6.4
195,000km
I bought the truck with 135,000km on it, it would regen every 500km or so. I thought THAT was too often.
Now it's been doing it for 2 weeks straight, it'll "complete" a cycle and instantly say "drive to clean exhaust filter"
I purchased an extended diesel warranty, the dealership made me pay them to do a "manual regen" they did it 4 times in a row and replaced a sensor under warranty and said that should take care of it.
for the past 2 weeks I've driven maybe 150KM WITHOUT it being in regen, I haven't been towing anything either.
The mechanic at the dealer looks at me shrugs and says I can't do anything unless its throwing a code, and suggests I buy a programmer and delete the DPF, in the same breath saying that'll void my warranty.
What the hell do I do? my truck has my company name and # on it, I get a phone call almost every other day "one of your trucks is stinking up my car!"
It really does reek, my entire cab stinks constantly
Can the right dealer actually fix this? or should I bite the bullet **** my warranty and spend the money to delete the DPF
I'm in Barrie, Ontario. dealing with Barrie Ford.

The right dealer can definitely fix it. I'd call Ford customer service and explain the situation.
115,000 miles on your DPF, it either needs to be removed and cleaned or replaced.
The cleaning process involves putting it in an oven and backing the crap out of it.
The Ford manual calls for service at 100,000 miles.
