for us old farts ehh Gary. Ya I know, yer only 29
like me. But sure was a fun 29 years, right?
I am leaving Sunday for Anchorage to have my
head examined. I figure they wont find anything.
Best wishes on your trip to Anchorage! Maybe stop by the F Street for a cold one and the halibut. The fish tacos at Humpey's is pretty good too. Take care.
Sounds great Joe. We will try and check them out.
I was pretty disappoint with Benny Hanna's the last
time I was there. It will be a while before I try them
again. They were braking in a new cook. I found out
he had no sense of humor and ruined my dinner.
Outrageous again Scott. I have a 5 ton hand crank winch up to a ****** block and I've worked on my trucks doing wheelstands like that. I never liked doing it, but I have. What great shots. All of them.
I have to say those 40-41s have really grown on me since I brought my panel home a year or so ago. I thought they looked too much like a 9N tractor. Now they are my favorite
I'll go beyond that... It's WAY freakin' cool! Is the extra axle chain driven? And only '38 and '39 had the oval 'Horse collar grille'.
Tandem axle. 1940 ford marmon herrington. Put together by Canadian traction co for the RCAF.This conversion changed the tonner into a six ton. Its got a c channel frame scabbed over the ford unit that runs front to back. This thing has more leaf springs than my old tanden C65 dump truck! Im gonna feel every pebble.

Really an awesome truck! One thing to note is it isn't a tonner per se. It's a 1 1/2 ton or two ton. Has 20" wheels. 134 or 157" wheelbase. It's a big truck. Tonners are a weird half breed built by ford. Pretty much a heavy pickup or stakebed. Always 122" wb with 17" single lock ring wheels with hubcaps. Not criticizing, just sayin.....
