Question RE: C6 trans and Lokar floor shift install

I'm installing a Lokar shifter in the truck, problem is I never had a shifter in the truck so, I hve no idea which position is park. On the transmission the shifter lever arm mounted on the trans can you tell me which position is park? all the way forward (lever) pointing towards the front of trans or pointing to the back of truck, I'd like to know before cutting it off as required in the instructions.
Thanks in Advance,
Don

Easy way to find out, rotate the selector all the way one way and try to spin the output shaft with a spare yoke or put the driveshaft in. When it locks you found park
Also usually a longer detent throw from park to reverse, other gears the detents are normally closer, you will notice the difference when rotating the selector lever.

Next? All I need to know is is the stock C6 Trans lever lever mounted to trans pointed forward to the front of the trans or the back towards the tail shaft,

Lokar.com has PDF instruction files for every shifter they sell, there are multiple ones listed for the C6.
Instructions say park is with the trans selector rotated clockwise as far as it will go.

I called Lokar and they said if the original trans lever is facing down, park is towards the front of the motor, if the lever is facing up (column mount lever) it is towards tail shaft so what you are saying is correct. Think I should be all set now. I have the 32" double bend shifter, and with all that length it feels a little sloppy, but thats the length I want so I'll deal with it..
