Tires......I don't even know where half of them come from, they seem to just appear like mushrooms. I keep hauling them off, but the pile never gets any smaller........
I think it's a conspiracy

Makes it look like a land tug.
All kidding aside it's a pretty straight looking old truck.

And I love that flat brown jailbar. The stance is just perfect and I really like the extra bars. Is that a 6 banger with a split manifold?

Thanks Willow! It is a flathead 226. I built a set of long tube headers with two three into one collectors. I agree with you that a split manifold sounds terrible. Also, they look like a cobbled up mess on the Ford engine.

I have seen those long tubular headers and they are very well made and look totally professional. I tend to used threaded pipe fittings in exhaust work as they hold better than my welds.....

No wonder it sounds so much better than most 6 bangers. I had a warmed up 300 a few years ago with efi manifolds and hated the sound of it loud, put a stock 351 dual inlet muffler on it to quiet it down.

Oh my, that Merc is pure truck ****. I have wanted a Merc for decades, since I saw my first one in the 60s and the 46-47 is the best. Maybe one of the only things that would make me part with my 29, a 46=47 Merc panel or tonner.
