E350 body on an F150 chassis?

I have a 1992 Ford E350 Quigley 4x4 conversion van. It has also been converted to a wheelchair accessible vehicle, including a lowered floor and lift. Van is in very good shape for the year. But the suspension on the Quigley conversions is extremely rough, which seems to be a common complaint.

I've been looking at doing some suspension upgrade to it, when I found a 2012 F150 crewcab chassis for $2000. Powertrain is all there and in good shape. Supposedly it was stolen and stripped.

My question is, would the econoline body fit on the F150 chassis? Is it a direct bolt-on or is major retrofitting required?

Thanks for looking and hopefully providing some input.

This would be a major re-fit, quite possibly not doable at all. F-Series and E-Series frames are very, very different.

Good idea but not practical economically---sorry.

That was what I was thinking... Thanks for the reply.

Any thoughts on suspension improvements other than taller springs and longer shocks?

UJOR. They replace the front end with a solid axle and leaf spring. I would have not think going from coil to leaf springs will improve handling, but I guess it is better to have a good Leaf spring set up than a bad one made with coil spring.

It may lift the van too much for your chair lift to work though.

I've looked at UJOR's website. SentlLf them an email to get more information from them, but haven't heard anything back from them yet .

U-Joint Off Road would be one place to call however first I'd talk to Quigley to see what they recommend. From what I've heard they're friendly enough to talk about their products regardless the year it was converted.
