OT - Ford Product Endorsement(?)

I just bought a copy of the 1933-34 Ford Book produced by the Early Ford V8 Club of America. A great resource for any Ford enthusiast but one page really caught my eye...not something that Henry would put in any of his ads but even crooks know quality when they see/drive it!

So today I learned the Clyde Barrow's middle name was Champion. The letter to Ford is a classic.

There is some question as to whether the letter was actually written by Clyde Barrow to Ford. Although it hasn't been conclusively proven to be a fraud, it appears that the hand writing is actually a closer match to Bonnie's.

Who knows?

I've never heard that, but even so, if it was dictated to Bonnie from Clyde, the effect is the same. It is a very famous letter, and I think pretty cool.

I've heard it. And, like he said, there's no conclusive evidence to completely dismiss the letter, but it's been debated for a long time. I'd say it really happened. There's also a supposed John Dillinger letter to Henry Ford with basically the same theme. He reportedly wrote it after he stole that lady sheriff's Ford in Indiana when he busted out of jail with the wooden pistol.
