New here
Hi,
I've had several Ford cars in the past and now have had a Ford Truck since 2007. Its a F150. I've only got just over 11k miles on it. because I had 2 vehicles for a long time and the F150 was the one used when I needed to haul something the car couldn't, or when the weather required 4x4. So this one is a no frills version and works pretty well.
The only work I've had done on it was had a mechanic friend change the brakes a couple months ago because the right assembly (caliper?) had frozen -- probably from non use. and then I had the 'gas cap loose' indicator for about 6 months and that turned out to be a disconnected evap system hose.
Other than that, I change the oil myself on a regular basis, but I don't know very much more than the basics about cars and engines. I can change spark plugs. I did it on my '99 ford escort on a regular basis. but if its complicated, I leave that job to the experts.
