223 straight 6 coolant in oil
170k original miles and about 40k miles since last head rebuild and new head gasket.
The truck never over heats, actually runs super-cool very rarely goes over 160°.
My questions are:
- can head gaskets fail so quickly?
- are there any other gaskets that would cause coolant to leak in the engine case?
It doesn't freeze down here and i never push the engine too hard so i'm hoping it's not a cracked block or cylinder.
Thanks
Alex

The first thing I would do is a compression test on the cylinders. I think there is a test to check for cylinder leakage, (let down?). Try to see if which cylinders will hold pressure and which if any don't. It maybe that the head or block need to be milled flat to ensure that the gasket seals everything.
