Reset Change Oil - Message Center

My 2008 Ford Escape is stuck at 5% Oil Life
I have tried the reset procedure
But when I press the 3 buttons Setup Info or Reset nothing changes
It will not change screens
When I start my car I see the KM (I'm from Canada) then within a couple of minutes it shows %5 Oil Life and no matter what I do it wont change or scroll to a different screen.
When the door is ajar or tail gate open it shows but then will flash back to the 5% Oil Life
ANY IDEAS????????????
Please anything......

Test each of the buttons. If the buttons don't work ("nothing happens"), then you cannot reset the message. Disconnecting the battery won't change this.

Still no luck

I did disconnect the battery for 20 min and nothing happened
The problem is that the buttons do not change anything
When I open the door i see door ajar or any other messages
but once it closes it goes back to 5% Oil Life
So its like the buttons are no longer working
Is there a way to reboot this thing?

Okay, if the buttons do not work, there is a needed repair. There is no "reboot" or "reset" for that. Did you not read post #3????

Thanks for the link to the video - the problem is my buttons do not work.
I did read post 3 - just wasn't sure if there was a way to change or reboot
Guess I am stuck with %5 Oil Life.
Not sure WTF is up with this car....

Hey jbarron069! Have you gotten in contact with your dealer about this? They'll best be able to solve this puzzle. Let me know how it goes.

That was the next thing I was going to do, I was hoping to find a solution and not cost me any $$
Now bringing it to the dealer is going to cost me a few hundred $$ I can feel it.
