56 Fuel Spout Grommet

56 Fuel Spout Grommet
When I removed my '56 fuel spout grommet I noticed it kind of snapped into the hole and was molded well to the outside curve. The new grommets I'm seeing online don't "appear" to have the ability to snap in like my old one. Though I can't see the back of the grommet in the pictures.
Anyone recommend a good replacement that will snap into place and be molded to the outside curve?
Thanks.

Though I don't have any personal experience with this particular part, I would trust this to be the most accurate. Most of Dennis' stuff is as close to factory as it gets.

As I look at his online catalog, I see 2 listings for 56 filler neck grommet. One says made by Carpenter in USA, one says nothing and is $5 cheaper. Lets hope the one is truly better than the other.

That was me b***hing about the chino-grommet Russ.
While most of Carpenter's rubber products are made by them at their North Carolina plant, some items have been farmed out to China. I got two in a row that cracked after less than a year. Carpenters were very gracious, and made good by sending me a new grommet. It remains to be seen if this latest one will last.
That said, ALL of their in-house made rubber pieces have been almost identical to the original (if not identical), fit well, and have lasted for several years without any noticeable deterioration.
