I have an 89 F150 shortbed and I am wondering what performance upgrades are available for the brake system. Most of my brake system is new with standard replacement parts and the truck stops well but not great for hard use and I'm not confident it will stop great with bigger tires and/or a towing a trailer. What performance upgrades are available for the brake system? Are there any parts I can look for in the junkyard off other trucks that will yield some improvement? I may also be purchasing wheels soon so will any of the brake upgrades require a 16" or 17" wheel instead of a 15" wheel?
