2004 F150 5.4l 4x4 looking for scanner

I am looking for a good scanner tool that will give me all the info I need from my truck as I do repairs. Its a hand me down, but I know the history of the truck and know it got its oli changes, tires are in great shape, etc. However over the last few weeks I am starting to see a major decline in gas miles per gal and the engine appears to be running rich and starting to get rough at idle.

I was hoping to find something that works real well with IOS and WiFi/ Bluetooth that would monitor the whole trucks system so I can go back and look but also post the details here if I need help. There are so many options out there to buy before I put any faith and money into it, I want opinions from users real users.

If there is no good product for this, can anyone recommend a good handheld type.

Thanks in advance.

I have the Actron Auto Scanner Plus from Autozone. I bought it to use on my son's Mitsubishi, but never tried it on my truck. However, my brother in law has borrowed it four or five times for several months at a time to use on his 2007 F150.
It runs about $250.00

I would agree with the Torque Pro recommendation with a Bluetooth dongle, but regrettably Torque Pro is not available for IOS.

This is true. IF you're 100% committed to Apple then this isn't a solution for you.

However, there are several 7" Android Bluetooth tablets that fit into this solution perfectly for $59 - $99 (Amazon, Groupon, etc).

It's nice to have a dedicated tablet, and the total price is still under $100.

I got the iKKEGOL iCar 2 Mini OBD2 OBD II WiFi Car Diagnostic Scan from Amazon.
The reason I was going to go with the IOS because I have an Ipad and old Iphone I was going to use for it.
I do have a small Android tablet that I can run Torque Pro but I am not sure if it will work with the iKKEGOL iCar 2 Mini OBD2 OBD II WiFi Car Diagnostic Scan and Torque Pro.

Does anyone know?
