Had some time to work on the truck yesterday, I put the engine in place just to make some space in the garage for staining trim for the house. I pulled out the crossmember between the cab mounts to see if the stock cats from the Marauder would fit within the frame rails but they do not. So I will need to have complete custom exhaust made. Maybe I'll look for some headers too... Still have to design and build the rear mounts for the lower control arms.
Got a bunch of work done on my dad's 51 yesterday too.

Saved up enough to buy some Pacesetter headers intended for Mustang Cobra/Mach 1. Got them fit up on the engine today. These things actually fit really well. Just had to grind a little bit off each engine mount plus the upper brace on the passenger side.
Ground some off the driver side mount to clear the pipe right behind the mount.
Passenger side mount hit at the top.
Pipe was rubbing edge of the aluminum brace at the top.
I will grind a bit of the frame for more clearance to make sure the pipe won't touch the frame when the engine torques on the mounts.
Hangs fairly low for the truck but will have enough ground clearance. Next step is to make a new tranny crossmember with exhaust clearance, rework the crossmember between the cab mounts since it currently goes through the bellhousing, and make mounts for the rear of the lower control arms.
