91 F150 Master Cylinder leaking after New brake job

First post, so bear with me.

I recently purchased a 91 Ford F150 for my teenage son, with full knowledge that it would be a 'project truck.' If only I had known... I do love her though.

I've already had to have both fuel pumps replaced. Last weekend I had new brake pads and rotors put on. Within a day of getting it back, we noticed a leak behind the driver side front tire. Brake Fluid. I traced it back to the master cylinder, right where it meets the booster. It's a very, very slow leak.

My question: Is it safe to drive, as long as the brake fluid reservoir is full?

Also: Is this a DIY project? I'm female, but quite mechanically inclined if someone can show me how to do it. I'm also pretty darned determined, so that helps too.

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

Maybe they over filled the master cylinder. Clean it up and keep an eye on it. Can you post any pics of where you think the leak is at?

Thanks for the quick reply. I we hoping it was just an overfill but it seems to be leaking at the seal. I can wipe it off and leak reappears within a few seconds. Photo attached.

Leak at master cylinder.

I think this link might help, even though it's for a 4.9:https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...e-booster.html
