Question for you guys- I'm putting in a fresh 5.0 into my 94 2WD 150 with shorty headers. Don't want to buy Y pipe with a cat, will an older pre-cat Y pipe fit my truck frame? Anything flow better, like a 5.8 pipe or Lightning? I don't mind doing minor alterations/welding to make this work. TKS!

 

I got a generic replacement Y pipe at Napa and it comes with separate cat that........well, you just don't have to use. I just extended the mid pipe to fit the Y pipe.

 

Ts, but I don't want to buy a cat at all. Any other pipes flow better?
