56 F100 Parking lights? Fitting issue :(

I bought new parking lights from mid fifty and for the life of me can't see how they are going to fit, has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it? They did say when I ordered them there may be an issue, but I can't seem to figure out what needs to happen to make them fit. Maybe I should just send them back for a refund and cut out the parking light indents in the gravel pan and re-weld in some metal so it's smooth and then just install some round, oval or whatever parking lights in the gravel pan. Not sure what to do here, I'd use the Mid Fifty units if I could figure out how to make them work without destroying them, but damn, it looks like surgery to make them work. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this dilemma. Does any vendor sell one that will fit?

I had the same issue and when I phoned to ask about it they said they were for a 55 and you had to shape them to fit, apparently their supplier no longer makes them for a 56. I was lucky enough to have a member on here ( Gerrymoe ) give me a set. The 55's have sharper bends on the front corners where as the 56 has a smooth bend.

In the Mid-Fifties 2015 catalog page 53. They show the difference.

Not sure if this PDF of their catalog will work but take a look it does not look to difficult to make them work.
You could buy just the parking light frames for the correct year ( if they still sell them) and use the park light base you got with the set you previously purchased.

This is what happens when you sell a part like this for $20. If truck owners were willing to pay what it was really worth then perhaps a vendor would produce a quality product in response.

I've got a pair of them and not worth the $20 as far as I'm concerned but may have to massage them to fit this project I'm on now, hopefully by the time I need them better ones will be available but won't hold my breath.

Yeow! I have installed a 53 grille in my 56...you wanna talk about parking light fit, I am having to build my own from scratch. I wish I could find some that only needed massaging...

I'd never be that desperate for a pair of parking lights at that price, I'd be massaging too. The boxes would likely be in the trash right after they were installed anyway.

Dennis Carpenter says their's fit with no known issues, product made in USA by Dale Mfg. Co in Oklahoma. I'll probably try and massage mine to fit if it doesn't work out I'll either by the Dennis Carpenter versions or go another route, those big parking lights are sorta fugly anyway in my opinion.
