I do want a factory tint in the windshield I can get the green for $100 less but will it stick out and be bad versus the smoke one?

I am doing the monochromatic look

 

I think it would be fine. You may not want a dark or smoke tint on the windshield as it will make it harder to see though, especially at night. They may even be illegal in some jurisdictions. Check local listings. Most modern cars have typical tinted windshields and darker sides, and they don't look stupid.

 

The maximum tint allowable by USDOT regs of OEMs is 70% on windshields and front door glass.

I think the green tint is great for original restorations. It just looks cool to me. I think your truck would look better though with the smoke.
