Went to the airaid website to check out their air filters and ran across this:400-527 - AIRAID , Airaid Throttle Body Spacer. Anybody ever tried one of these throttle body spacers?

 

If you have 152.99 to throw away I'll take it. By the time the air makes it past the throttle body it won't be spinning much anymore.

 

If you do a search, you'll see that TB spacers are only good for being used as a paper weight.

 

I run a K&N replacement filter in my trucks, and have been since I called Ford Motorsport in 1990 about my 302 and they told me to do it. I did get a "seat of the pants" increase in throttle response, so I stayed with it. I keep an old filter to put in the box if I need to drive the truck while the K&N is drying. My 302 did 225K on the original motor and was still running good when I sold it, so the old saw that the K&N ruins your motor b/c it doesn't trap enuf dirt is not true in my experience.

I agree, tho, that those things called CAI are a waste of time and money and they clearly do not inject any cold air into the engine.
