Ok so... have an 04 that has more issues than Playboy magazine... any DIY tips ot tricks greatly appreciated.

I dont have an original key but the key I have has worked before. Motor cranks but wont turn over. Have tried the battery unhook thing, didnt work. Any ideas or suggestions prior to selling my soul for repairs r greatly appreciated. Thx all 😎

 

Does the fuel pump run when you turn the key on? Does the theft light flash?

 

Yes-fuel pump... yes-theft light flashing fast. Just put OBD II on it and its reading P1260

 

Is that the only key you have? if that light is flashing theft mode is activated. Could be a problem with the PATS system itself but more often than not the issue is the key. I would try starting it with a different programmed key if that is an option. If not you're probably looking at getting towed to a dealer so they an program two new keys with an IDS.

 

Your key is either invalid (not programmed into the system or is dead) or it is not being read or it's being read but there's some other issue.

What is the recent repair history or activity?
