1966 F100 Disk Brake Upgrade
I found a complete front end from a 79 Ford for a great price, and I just want to know what I am getting myself into before I jump.
So if I have the complete I beams, spindles, disks, and everything
Is the only things I need to complete the conversion the Proportioning valve, and the Master Cylinder?
I want to stick with the Manual brakes at least for the short term. Is there any issue with steering box or Linkage??

Don't know what engine your truck has in it, but you need a matching system. 76 was last year for the FE engine, 79 will cover the 240 6.
Don't jump on anything until you are ready to make the swap, then buy a donor truck that will have ALL the swap parts needed.
The porp valve is used with disc/drum combos not all drum.

You need the hard line to flexible caliper hose frame brackets from the Dentside.
I wouldn't advise to use a wrecking yard MC. New MCs aren't expensive.

John, I don't have space for a full donor truck, and I found a donor front end for $100 out of a 79, and so I was figuring to buy the front end and then replace anything that seems like it isn't perfect with new stuff.
I am a big fan of anything that might kill me replace with new when possible.
I found a new Brake proportioning valve for about $70, I would get a bracket off a junker.
The most expensive Master Cylinder I could find was $35, which means those 2 parts are about what this guy is asking for the full front end.
I will probably get new Disks, Calipers, and hoses
Ultra, I just looked at that page you referenced, and I will have to get all new Drag link and Tie Rods, since the 79 is thicker.
I am going to have to find a place to store this front end until I can gather all the parts to rebuild everything.
Thanks for all the info.

Right now the truck has a 300 installed, but originally it had a 352 according to the VIN. I would like to put a 352 or a 390 back into it. So I found a 75 F150 with a 390 so I was looking to take the suspension, power steering, and engine.
I knew the F150 upped the weight to get past some EPA rules, didn't know if it was the front end or not.
