95 Ford e350 7.3 fuel filter housing question

Hello I have a diesel leak on my E350

I looked up schematics for the fuel filter housing assembly
But what I am seeing looks more like what is on my 1999 f250 or 01 f350

Does the 1995 E350 have the fuel drain assembly ?

I know these tend to go bad on my other trucks

I just replaced the filter, with fixed cap model, looks like the prior owner only replace the filter using the old cap and o ring
There was diesel in the front of the housing

Yes... it does have the same assembly as the F-series ( 94-97) Also the filter you installed with the cap together tend to leak more ....the original style filters re-using the "old" cap are better...Good Luck

filter cap

Thanks for the reply I used a better model made by hastings
The oring is fitted to the cap, is much larger round o ring that has a seat in the cap itself where it cannot move while screwing it in place , unlike the old flat washer caps
When took the old filter off that was leaking the gasket was down inside the bowl. yes poor installer but on my 99 and 01 they cause me trouble as well

Actually the better O-rings have a wedge type profile...at least those are the ones I use ..Racor is the manufacturer...And as far as the 99 and up style goes , I think they tend to leak where the Filterbowl attaches to the HPOP reservoir along as well as the drain O-rings...but a lot of guys with the later PSD's tend to remove the assembly and use an AirDog type set-up or similar remote filter/separator units
