2000 expedition stalls at lights...

Hi guys, i am usually on the ranger site with my 94 4.0l,, anyway my sister in-law has a 2000 expedition EB EDITION. 130K I THINK.. anyway she said it runs ok but stalls a lot at lights/stop signs etc starts right up again, no CEL, i am going to check it out for her, as i know a tiny bit more literally, i dont know this 5.4l i have my ranger and a towncar 4.6l have read some threads on here about the pcv 90 degree vacuum hose going bad? have read about the famous CJB Issues? my questions are what year(s) are the CJB issues related to? and also, with these symptoms, what else should i be looking for, i do have OBD 2 scanner, so i will start there, and maybe clean the MAF Also
does this sound like the wiring rubbing against a/c drier i have read about?
like i said i try to read first, but dont really know this engine, IAC also a concern? thanks for all and any constructive input, cheers, Macaroni

Along with checking the TB's 90* elbow from the PCV (which typically throws a "lean bank 1 & lean bank 2" DTC) I'd strongly suggest the IAC---if so equipped.

At some point the5.4's lost that control but if its there it could be the problem. I've had a few go bad but the CEL was always lit----maybe scan the PCM for pending codes?

Could also be a fuel issue---check the pressure at the test port on the fuel rails near the injectors, typically driver's side. FPR or fuel filter could be suspect there.

Thanks for the reply, i actually did the job and am back here to follow up, in case someone else could benefit, fuel pressure was good, changed fuel and air filters as they were not done in forever, i changed the IAC, it was idling 90% better, oh btw its 4.6l, sister in law thought it was 5.4l anyway,
it is running smooth pulled codes , after i cleaned the MAF, DID HAVE LEAN CODES BOTH BANKS, And a IAC CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION, they all cleared, however it does have misfire, cyl 6 , but i had to leave to get home they live 2 hrs away, sister in law just called me no more stalling, i told her i will check cyl 6 COP/spark plug, next time. thanks,
