Moniker for 47' model

Hello gang. I normally am in the 48-56 Forum. I have a relative who bought a 47' recently. He called to me he had a 47 F1. To my limited knowledge F1 started in 48. Did 47' models has a designation like say a 53' F100 or a 54' 250 model? Also are there any good contacts for used parts? I think his is a ton truck.

If his is indeed a ton truck then the common name for it is a 'tonner'. The 'F' designation was not in use at the time. More on the lines of an F3 or in some ways an F4. If it's a tonner it will have a 122" wheelbase and an 8' pickup box on it. Stock tires and wheels would be 17" .Of course we'd love to see some pictures.

'46 and '47 are just "truck" or pickup unless it is a tonner like GB said. 114" is a half ton. Lots of parts in lots of places.
We like pictures!
