I love my Excursion
I've towed my RV from Sacramento to Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, San Diego, back to Las Vegas, then to Florence, SC, Buffalo NY, and now I'm back in Florence again for a month (at least).
This truck has performed so flawlessly it's amazing. Every time I tow with it I'm amazed at the power it has. I can maintain 60 up just about any hill. It's stable going down the road and doesn't look or feel overloaded.
I get about 11 mpg towing and I'm happy with that.
Did I mention it looks good too?
I could counter with the water pump ($500??), batteries ($225), alternator ($250), 5 gallons of transmission fluid ($130), 4 gallons of synthetic oil every 5k miles ($80 * 5 so far), air filters ($50), not to mention the thousands of dollars in add-ons and improvements, but I wouldn't want to digress or anything.
It's worth it in the end. I'm one very happy Ex owner.
