transmission servo diagnosis

1993 E-350 trans has 3 servos. My issue is downshift too early, causing idle rpm and engine cutout. I can drive vehicle only by running up 1st, then 2nd, then into drive above 35 mph, and ut will cruise sufficiently in too low a gear, but not die. As I decelerate, must cover gas pedal, or shift to neutral while keeping gas fed.

Lots of shift jumping as I try to drive city speeds. Early shifts, downshifts, jumping to 3rd at 20 mph (which always kills the motor).
Problem was absent over the winter when this was daily driver. Resumed once temps let fluid get hot. Fluid and filter changed last November, and fully drained torque converter and both coolers this is setup with. There was no metal, but fluid no longer pink.

Just got my service manuals and parts lists so preparing to service this. Trans shop here tested it, believed probably a servo, but pump pressure issue is what I am wondering about.

Wrong forum, this is for 1961/67 Econoline & 1957/79 Ranchero.

You want 1968 and later Vans.
