The Water in Fuel light is on. I'd rather not take it to a mechanic and I'm learning how to do things myself on the bus in preparation for a cross county trip. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

I've read about dumping out the 'fuel bowl' - how do I do that?

What's the best way for me to get the water out and to stop the leaking fuel?

I think this has happened because of all of the rain we've had in Charleston the last few days. The bus was never in standing water, but it did get rained on pretty hard for about four days in a row.

 

If there's not a lot of replies in this forum try looking in the diesel-specific forums here on FTE. There should be a ton of great advice to be found here in general but for the most part most of us are running gasoline engines and not too familiar with the WIF issues.
