Dana 60 swap questions
Well.. Ford d60s are going for about 1200$
But I found a dodge d60 for 250$ from. Friend who rolled his truck.. From what I've read they won't work... But why? That's my ultimate question...
The CAD(vacuum disconnect) can be shimmed to stay full time 4x4 (or choke cable to disengage...
Leaf springs should be about the same distance... I don't get it... Anyone please, give me some input
The truck is going to be used for light trail and mud, i have 36x12.5 mud tires now. So I don't plan on running huge tires.
THANKS again guys

With enough money and/or work everything is possible. The ford D60 might be easier as in at the very least you can measure where and how it mounts from the frame it came from, but honestly I've seen how labor intensive some conversions have been and don't see how either a newer model ford D60 or a different brand D60 would be less work, or have any other cons. Then again measure, do research and maybe do your conversion thread about it.

If you have the know how, tools, space and time to do it go for it, but the main concern would be gearing. Make sure it matches your rear axle everything else should work is all mechanical.

Well it's official I'll be picking it up in the next day or two when ever he's available. And at 300$ I'm not even worried about it hahah. Might as well have it Lincoln locked before install we shall see! Thanks for your input guys! I'll be starting another thread during install. I'll try to make it picture heavy
