As Bruno said, we had the 2015 Okiehoma GTG today in Skiatook. Here are some pics of David's (1986F150six) truck. He did a bit of "aero" work on it to get it here. Note the plexiglas over the headlights and turn signals, the new air dam, the "tonneau cover", the right mirror, and the smooth hub caps. And, did it work? The last tank coming was 25.7. And, that was before we changed out the tranny and differential lube for fully synthetic.

Last, here's his tach, which came to him from Ford F834, and came off of a 370 gas engine from 1982 F600. Perfect for David's high-revving engine and driving style.

And, here are most of the guys - from left to right: Paul/Rogue_Wulff; David/1986F150six; Eli/SmokenChoken; Brandon/Bruno2; Chris/ctubutis; Gary Lewis; & Jon/Jstitts. I say "most" as Eli's son Aaron and his wife Brandy weren't available for the picture.

But, here's the crew at lunch, at Ron's, including Brandy and Aaron:

Next, we headed to Larry's used car lot to look at the 1981 F100 Flareside.

Here's Eli cleaning the harmonic balancer so we could set the timing on his 460, and Jon clowning:

And, Brandon is cutting a link of a chain:

Last, here's an old man setting up the mill to drill a hole to secure the safety chain:

The Magnificent 7 eh? A motley crew (kidding)

Looks like perfect weather, fall is sometimes the best season for that kind of thing. Gotta love a successful road trip.

I don't know what is going on, but I have tried every way possible to post pics in this thread with no luck. I tried to copy and paste the URL, drag and drop and even pulling them from my computer. It looks like it is good to go , but when I click insert nothing comes up.

Heh... the usual foreigners....

Thank you for hosting us, Gary! I wouldn't go if I didn't have Gary's B&B to stay at.

Looks like a fantastic get together! I sure wish I lived close enough to join you guys for this.

Question: what specific synthetic oils did you put in David's transmission and differential?

David and Chris both drive about 600 miles each way. Thats dedication!

For oil, we used Mobil One 75W90 full synthetic.

Yes, it is! Thanks for the oil type. It is GL-5. The only GL-4 synthetic I have found is Redline MTL.
