Update: 2015 f-150 crew cab 4x4 3.5 na
hello,
in June i bought my f-150. so far its been one of the best trucks i've ever owned. it has hauled dirt bikes, sand, gravel, wood and gardening supplies. it does not feel underpowered at all. i've also towed my 3000 enclosed trailer with it and it did not struggle at all. i've been averaging about 21 mpg on hwy and 18-19 in the tow. the interior is spacious and comphertable better then my 2011 king ranch (and its an xlt with no options besides the center console but no floor shift). handles the road better then the 2011.
i would recommend this combo to any one
the day i picked it up

I wouldn't argue the truth in that.......but the difference in $$$ is not significant I just don't see why one wouldn't want the "better" engine ......in no way am I knocking the base v6 I drove one and it was fine but for a few pesos more

I like that color...
The appeal for me, now that I test drove the NA 3.5 is that I am now confident that this engine could work for me.
The other reason is that I would rather keep it simple and not have a possible turbo service interval costing who knows how much. Just my way of seeing things...

I'd agree with that, there are a LOT more things to go wrong on an EcoBoost-powered truck. More power than the top-level V8 twelve years ago, I'd be surprised if someone were disappointed with it. I had an '03 with the 4.2 V6 and it was completely gutless, I think that reputation hurt people's opinions of a V6 in a full-size truck.
