i have a 2007 f150 and need to find screws for high mount third brake light on the cab.i found the at ford parts for $58.00 for a pack of 4.they are a metric screw 50mm m4.2x1.41.i have tried a #8 stainless but it twist the screw into.cant find these screws on line .anyone have ideas

 

Might have better luck if you ask in the section for your truck.

But, I did look -- don't seem to be any around in that length. Best bet is probably a junkyard -- a UPullit if there's one in your area.

pep boys, advance, autozoo, and other auto parts stores for the off the street crowd has them in packs on the shelf for $1.99.
auto parts stores like NAPA that deal with repair shops usually have to order screws that small.
