It never crossed my mind to see how fast my f350 with 6.2 would accelerate.
I do know that with 2600 lbs in the box of mine and mine is also heavier longbox truck, that my 2016 gas engine which is stock...is quicker than my pals 2013 empty short box diesel even though it was carrying nothing at all except for him, when we lined up beside each other from a complete stop.
Mine also has a faster top speed than his diesel, not sure why. But on a long trip i matted it on a long straight stretch and he couldn't keep up, after his topped out i kept pulling away.
I think they govern the diesel to a lower overall top speed for some reason.
My little gas motor is powerful enough for anything i tow or haul.
I'll get a tuner and that is it.
Compare its acceleration to my car though and its pathetically slow.

Any new results? Mine is pretty much like a horse and carriage. I regret not getting the 4.3.

I have a 4:30, the most excitement that I ever had with mine was pulling into traffic fast with wet tires and I got a definite tire chirp when it shifted into second. Other than that, I'm happy when I can pass the occasional Prius that's in the way. I didn't buy it to go fast, but it does a decent job accelerating pulling the fifth wheel.

If I hold in the traction control button for about 5 seconds until traction control and advance track shut off then put it in tow haul mode I can get to 60 in under 8 seconds. I'm happy with that. Not as fast as my mustang but for a heavy truck it's great!

I find my 6.2 is a dog to 60. After 60 however I find it works pretty well.

After swapping to 4.30's the 6.2 F-250 is a completely different truck. I'm not sure why the F-250 is even optioned with 3.73's. I get better gas mileage while towing my 14k Gross 5th wheel, and plenty of passing power.

I have the 5-star 87 Daily Tow tune, K&N intake (I don't recommend this unless you can find it used for around 50 bucks....) and a Big *** magnaflow replacing the mufflers after the cat. It's fast for what it is, and I'm very happy with it. Saved me from trading it in for a diesel truck at least until it's paid off.

4.30's are definitely the answer for the 6.2. I regretted not insisting on them on my first 6.2, so I certainly ordered with my new one. What a difference. The new truck has so much more giddy-up.

I'm getting 8.5 seconds 0 to 60 with a stopwatch. It's faster than my old 6.0 diesel that was about 11.
